I know many scientists don’t speak about ‘global warming’ other than for specific aspects (e.g. elevated temperatures will cause a shift in sea turtle sex ratios biased towards females). Rather we tend to speak of extreme weather events ~ as this encompasses both hot & cold, or wet and dry scenarios.
