IUCN World Conservation Congress Forum Hawaiʻi 2016

The IUCN congress, which has a theme “Planet at the Crossroads” is a good opportunity to show up with initiatives for us, The Biodiversity Alliance, as well.

Proposals for contribution can be submitted till 15th October 2015, which is 4 months away. Perhaps this time would be sufficient to come up with ideas and work out the best among them to build a presentation, a workshop or a forum.

Any idea are welcomed.

    Thanks Janos, yes I’d already seen it and have begun thinking of possibilities. I do like several of their ideas for interaction during the public part of the conference. Let’s see what we can pull together on behalf of BA in the coming weeks, Mike 🙂

    Momentarily I have three ideas:

    a) Our approach to tackle the root causes of biodiversity loss instead of fighting against the consequences;
    b) Teaching about the finite nature of natural resources on Earth from elementary level, up to the secondary/high school;
    c) Carbon labeling: indication of emitted CO2 during the whole production and transportation phase of any given product;

    About b) and c) I will make separate posts soon.
